DAQ finished 2nd at the North Divisional Championship Meet held in Athens, Georgia. This is the team's highest ranking and most points scored. The team scored over 3000 points. The point total was a team effort by all the athletes that attended the meet.

DAQ swimmers sat the pool on fire when they swam in Charlotte North Carolina. The team sent the following 10 swimmers to represent the tigersharks- Dean Farris, Jackson Ford, Lauren Ford, Leona Harper, Margo Hays, Maddie Ledet, John Mitchell, Alex Taylor, Leila Taylor, and Max Walker.

Senior Sectionals:
DAQ was represented by 4 swimmers at the senior sectional meet held at the Tracey Caulkins pool in Nashville Tennessee. The swimmers representing DAQ included: D.J. Boutte, Devyn Hughes, Max Mitchell, and James Talley.

The team had a great showing finaling in several events, and picking up more junior national time standards.

Meet Results:

D.J. Boutte- 26th in 50 free, and 16th in the 100 free.
Devyn Hughes- 21st in 200 breast.
Max Mitchell- 17th in 200 fly, and 10th in 100 free (Qualified for Junior Nationals in 200 fly)

Boys 400 free relay- Qualified for Junior Nationals (Devyn Hughes, Max Mitchell, James Talley, and D.J. Boutte)

14 & Unders State:
The 14 & unders swam out of their minds at the State Championships held in Savannah. The team finished 6th overall and 2nd in the medium team division. The team had its highest team score ever scoring over a 1000 points. Highlights from the meet included:

Alex Taylor: HIGH POINT WINNER 11/12 boys and State Champion in 4 events (100 I.M., 200 I.M., 400 I.M., and 100 Back) he also posted 4 top 10 times in the country. His results in other events include- 2nd in 200 back, 4th in the 1000 free, 5th in the 200 free, 2nd in the 100 free, and 4th in the 100 breast.

Margo Hays: State Champion in the 50 Breastroke. Her other results include- 3rd in 200 I.M., 11th in 200 free, 3rd in 200 breast, 7th in 400 I.M., 3rd in 100 I.M., 10th in 100 free, and 2nd in the 100 breast.

Dean Farris: 9th in 200 I.M., 3rd in 50 free, 6th in 200 back, 10th in 200 free, 7th in 50 fly, 9th in 100 I.M., 6th in 100 free, and 3rd in 50 back

Jackson Ford: 8th in 50 breast, 15th in 100 back, 6th in 200 breast, 16th in 100 I.M., 8th in 100 breast, and 15th in 50 back

DAQ Swimmers Swim Well At High School State:
The Dekalb Aquatics swimmers had impressive swims at the A-AAAA State High School Championships held at Westminster. Despite the three weather delays of the meet and longer taper than expected the swimmers swam outstanding. Swimmers from DAQ representing their High Schools included: Erika Redding (Wesminster), Barri Jones (Grady), Leni Clark (Paideia), Jen Farris (Paideia), Malaika Gutekunst (Druid Hills), Scott Dent (Decatur), Max Mitchell (Chamblee), Clarke Ruska (Woodward), Addison Lange (Druid Hills), Edward Finley-Price (Druid Hills), Corey Balenger (Galloway), James Talley (Our Lady of Mercy), Devyn Hughes (Greater Atlanta Christian), and D.J. Boutte (Greater Atlanta Christian).

Top eight finishers:

James Talley: 3rd 100 fly, 5th 100 back

Max Mitchell and James Talley picked up junior national qualifying times. Both guys qualified in the 100 fly and James also in the 100 back.
