Team Uniform

The Dynamo team uniform is a solid black Speedo racing suit with or without the Dynamo team logo. All team members, including those swimmers in an “unattached” status, must wear the team suit in competition. The coaching staff recommends that swimmers wear a Lycra or polyester suit during the regular season competition. In championship, shave and taper meets, 11 & over swimmers may wear Fastskins/Aquablades. The coaching staff does not recommend these suits for 10 & Unders. These suits are expensive and the Dynamo coaches do not believe these suits are necessary for fast swimming.

If your swimmer chooses to wear a cap, he or she must wear the Dynamo team cap. The team cap is yellow with the Dynamo club logo imprinted on both sides in green. Caps cost $3.50 and are available in the Coaches’ office at each facility. Caps are charged to the swimmers’ accounts. Coaches usually bring extra caps for sale at swim meets.

The racing suit and swim cap are the only required team uniform in competition. The purchase of all other Dynamo apparel is optional. However, Dynamo has an incredibly strong tradition of team unity expressed at meets with the team pride each swimmer demonstrates by wearing only Dynamo team apparel.
