Swim Meets at Bryant and Paragould we will not be attending. That is Dec. 5th and Dec. 9th. The Jan 9th meet at Cabot has been moved until February 6th.

We will be communicating through a new app that I have called remind101. Every swimmer needs to text me at this number (870) 738-8081 and text in the message @coachcockr Then you will receive a text back telling you to send back your name. This is how I will contact you about information. Your parents are encouraged to text that info as well, so that they will receive the information.

Please start out with Beginner Workouts and stay with those until you feel like you can move on to intermediate workouts. If you feel you need to substitute or concentrate on certain strokes do that. The workouts will change when Swim Practice officially starts.

We Finished in 13th place in the State in Boys Swimming. The 12 schools ahead of us were 6A and 7A schools. The Boys finished 9th in the 200 Medley Relay, 10th in the 200 freestyle relay, Relay team-Corban Richardson, Troy Tanner, Brody Stimach, Zach White, and Nick Sciortino. Nick recieved a medal and finished 5th in the 500 freestyle,and 7th in the 200 IM. Madeline Elk finished 13th in the 100 Breaststroke. I am so proud of these Swimmers.

The State Swim Meet is at UALR on Saturday February 23, 2013. We are going to swim in the 200 medley relay and 200 Freestyle relay in guys. These teams will include Corban Richardson, Zach White, Troy Tanner, Brody Stimach, and Nick Sciortino. Nick will also swim in the 500 freestyle, and 200 IM. Madeline Elk will be swimming in the 100 Breaststroke. So proud of all these swimmers.

Sophomore Nick Sciortino has qualified in 5 events for the State Meet. He has qualified in the 200 Freestyle, 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, 500 Freestyle, and 100 Backstroke. Congrats to Nick.

Freshman Madeline Elk qualified for the 100 Breast at the Cabot Swim Meet on February 6th. Congrats to her.

Out of 7 participating schools at the Paragould Swim Meet. The Valley View Boys team finished second and the Girls team finished fourth.

The Valley View Swim Team had a great meet at Paragould on December 3. We finished 3rd in the Boys behind MountainHome and Cabot. We finished 4th in the girls behind Mountain Home, Cabot, and Jonesboro. Nick Sciortino qualified for the State Meet in two events. 200 IM and 100 Butterfly. Our next meet is January 7th at Paragould.

The Blazer Swim Team competed in the 2012 High School State meet on February 25. Both the boys and the girls finished in 4th in all meets during the season. At the District Meet in Paragould, the boys finished in 4th and the girls finished in 5th. The boys 400 freestyle relay team, Xavier Madera, Nick Sciortino, Troy Tanner and Brody Stimach, qualified to compete at the state meet, placing 16th in their division.
