| Here at Hydro we have Swimmer of the month and swim of the meet. The swimmer of the month is similar to the standards of student of the month and the swim of the meet is unique to just a swim that stood out. This doesnt always mean the fastest event, or the best placing. Its more of what stood out for the coach watching the meet. Below are the 2025 Swimmer of the month and Swim of the meet. SWIMMER OF THE MONTH FEBRUARY 2025 Swimmer of the Month is Noah Ambriz-Noah enjoys long walks at the park. He loves his chew toy and he is a body guard for all the Hydro moms. He is currently working hard on his side breathing and his secret is laser focus for his precision swimming. The man, the myth, the legend. MARCH 2025 Swimmer of the Month is Aydan Li My name is Aydan Li and I'm 10 years old. My favorite food is Mac and cheese and my favorite hobby is swimming. At school my favorite subject in school is math and my favorite color is blue. I would have to say my favorite and strongest stroke is breaststroke and I want to say HYDRO my favorite swim team! APRIL 2025 Swimmer of the Month is Kenzie Donia My name is Kenzie I am 12 years old (13 this week) and my favorite food is sushi. In my free time i love to read and my favorite subject at school is Computer science. My favorite color is Teal and the best stroke in the world IMO is breaststroke. Thank you coach for the consideration in this award. MAY 2025 Swimmer of the Month is Lia Papadakis My name is Lia and Im 14 years old. Id have to say my favorite food is Spam and Burritos. I would have to say my favorite thing to do is go to amusment parks with my friends. My favorite subject in school would have to be social studies. My favorite color is pink and my favoite stroke in swimming is Butterfly. If i had to give any advice to upcomig swimmers it would be, " Just keep swimming.....just keep swimming..." JUNE 2025 Swimmer of the Month (San Bernardino) JUNE 2025 Swimmer of the Month (Temescal) SWIM OF THE MEET Meet Name-The Claremont Club Swim of the meet name-Sophia Bogdan Event that stood out- 50 Freestyle Notes- She entered the event with a 31.81 and dropped .41 seconds and won the heat with a best time of 31.40 taking 2nd in the "B" division Meet Name-Spring Age Group Champs Swim of the meet name- Aubree Ormonde Event that stood out-50 Breaststroke (specifically finals) Notes- She went a 33.91 and won the consolation finals crushing her opponents. She took 9th place overall. Meet Name-Spring Age Group Champs Swim of the meet name-Mason Ormonde Event that stood out-500 Freestyle Notes- Mason went a 6:03.38 and took 13th place overall. He dropped about 6 seconds and swam a lifetime best. Meet Name-CHAWP Swim of the meet name-Aubree Salgado Event that stood out-200 Freestyle Notes- Aubree crushed her time by 8.86 seconds going a 2:54.89 way to go! She took first place overall in the event. Meet Name-FAR WESTERNS Swim of the meet name-Aubree "Sweet Pea" Ormonde Event that stood out- 50 Butterfly (prelims) Notes- Aubree swam lights out in her prelims and won the heat and got into finals for 11th place with the time of 28.47 Meet Name-YST Swim of the meet name- Sebastian Ambriz Event that stood out- 100 Butterfly Notes- Sebastian swam lights out and is a true butterflyer. He swam a 1:24.80 and dropped 4.10 seconds from his entry time. Meet Name-YST-Long Course Swim of the meet name-Aashna Shah Event that stood out- 400 Freestyle Notes- Aashna is a true mid distance to distance swimmer and it showed here in her 400 free. she dropped about 30 seconds from her real time and also took 1.98 seconds off the conversion set into the system. Great swim Aashna and Happy Birthday! Meet Name- STAR Short course Swim of the meet name- Arie Farias Event that stood out- 100 Freestyle Notes- Arie has come a long way in swimming. Her swim was outstanding and she had a great meet overall. Arie swam her 100 Freestyle in a 1:27.42 dropping a huge 13.60 seconds from her entry time and getting her lifetime best. Meet Name-STAR Swim of the meet name- Ivy Vo Event that stood out- 200 Freestyle Notes- She won the heat by a few body lengths and was where she should have been in that race. Ivy went a blazing 2:36.29 and dropping 3.81 seconds. Great swimming and keep up the good work. Meet name-YST last chance Swim of the meet name- Sebastian Ambriz Event that stood out- 100 Butterfly Notes- He went duck hunting in this event. Getting his JAG, SAG, and 13/14 B cuts he blazed down the lane .Mystery Swimmer went a 1:21.21 dropping 3.59 seconds from his best time. Meet name-YST last chance Swim of the meet name- Peter Tsvetkov Event that stood out- 50 Freestyle Notes- Heat winner chicken dinner! He went for the race in this one! Taking first place in his heat and racing to the finish. dropping .60 seconds and going a 36.24. Meet name-YST last chance Swim of the meet name- Aashna Shah Event that stood out- 200 Freestyle Notes- Aashna dropped over 14 seconds from her best time. Meet name-June Age Group Champs Swim of the meet name- Mason Ormonde Event that stood out- 100 Freestyle Notes- This was for his finals swim where he won the consolation finals and got a lifetime best. Meet name-June Age Group Champs Swim of the meet name- Sweet Pea Ormonde Event that stood out- 50 Freestyle Notes- This was for her prelims swim where she won the event and went into finals in 1st place and getting .49 from her sectional cut.
