Hello all,

A few things to catch up on. We are having our first outing at Bowlero on Monday. Please let me know by today if you/your swimmer can attend and how many, we need to reserve by lanes. We will be at our outing from about 6-8/8:30 pm and it’s about $15 per player/participant. 

MEETS

We have multiple meets up and different levels of swimming right now. Our main meets are STAR for C swimmers and B swimmers at YST. There is some need for some to go to the RST meet to try and get cuts for JAG. I’m more than willing to entrain that idea and put it back on the calendar. See, the problem with just swimming the last chance meet is it’s too close to JAG. Yes if that’s your last chance then of course go for it but if you can get them prior then do that so we can train and skip YST and go straight to JAG. 

FUNDRAISER 

We have a fundraiser in the works. It’s a series of fundraisers with this being the first of the series and it’s called “swIM” more to come on this event soon. 

GROUPS 

We are in the process of going over group days and training. We might add 1 day to the bronze group so there is steady progression from copper 3 days a week to bronze with 4 then to silver with 5. It just makes sense to me but more to come. 

WHATSAPP TIMES

With messaging and being a part of USA swim we have text/media perimeters. We can’t message or text before 8 am unless it’s an emergency or part of an event. Or after 8:30 pm unless it’s an emergency or part of an event. So if there are messages past those times I will either delete them or leave them until the morning and reply then. Please try and stick to these time constraints to follow USA swim and HYDRO protocol. 

SANCTIONED TEAM 

We are officially a sanctioned certified swim team which means we can run our own meets at our own pools by ourselves or invite other teams as well. All the times will count if we follow the USA swim rules. We call these block parties and we will have a series of these through the summer. More information to come as we get cleared to host meets. We can choose the event line up, we can run it during practice, parents time and help with starting system, coaches are the officials. More to come on the HYDRO Block party series as it unfolds. 

5 BELOW SHIRTS “my shirt” project 

Hey all! I got some really cool shirts so far and I have ordered the colors I think will be best. You still have time! Get me your 5 below shirt asap for custom HYDRO upgrades. Someone asked if it had to be a 5 below shirt and the answer is no. It can be any shirt I just said 5 below because they are only $5 each. I should start getting these back to you by next week or so. 

PARKAS

I want to personally thank all the parents for getting together and getting my and Coach Brenda’s parkas. We truly appreciate it and love our Hydro swim families. More memories to come and I can’t wait for this chapter and to be a part of your story.
