Swim Seasons: What you need to know to register

DMSF's year is divided into two seasons: 

• The Short Course Season runs from September through February. Throughout this season, the team practices at the 25-yard pool at Valley High School in West Des Moines and Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. The team participates in USA Swimming short course meets, culiminating at the state championships.
• The Long Course Season is April through July. For this short and fun-fulled season, swimmers practice at the 50-meter outdoor pool at Birdland Park in Des Moines and the 25-yard Valley High School pool in West Des Moines. Long course meets take place in a 50-meter pool.

You can start swimming with DMSF any time! Swim fees begin the month you join the team.
