Why Become a Swimming Official?
Support your swimmer - In order for swimming meets to run fairly and efficiently many officials are required. Each team attending a swim meet is expected to provide officals. You can support your child’s swimming efforts by becoming certified to work as an official and help meets run smoothly.
Learn something new - Whether you have an extensive swimming background or no experience in the water at all, becoming an official will teach you something new about the sport.
Save some money - Did you know that your monthly EAST dues are reduced by half for one swimmer if you become certified and officiate at meets regularly? Great way to save money for that next swim suit!
