Training Attitude

  • Don't let anyone or anything get in your way in your quest for excellence.

  • Always treat teammates and coaches with respect. Never let your personal feelings come in the way of the TEAM.

  • Always encourage others to do their best whether on our team or an opponent's.

  • Leave your problems outside the front door. Practice is a place reserved for only positive attitudes and self-improvement. The coaching staff is always available for you when things aren't going your way.

  • Respect others right to train, please refrain from "goofing" around when others are still training. It is hard to focus when teammates create distractions.

  • If you need to leave early always tell the coach prior to entering the pool for practice. This helps with practice planning and goals.

  • Competition between teammates is expected. Inner team competition is the sign of a healthy competitive environment and what drives the entire team to achieve excellence. Inner team competition needs to always be constructive and positive. Competition should remain in the pool. Competition outside the confines of the pool becomes destructive and vindictive.

"Subordinate yourself to a higher purpose.  Not everyone can be a star, and it's important there are players that have roles that enable others to emerge as stars."   -- Rick Majerus
