Moolah for Marlins Annual Fundraiser Information & December Schedule
Dear Parents,
I wanted to touch base about two upcoming events:
MOOLAH FOR MARLINS
In the next two weeks, your child will be receiving a fundraising packet for our annual Moolah for Marlins event taking place on Friday, 12/12. Swimmers will have time to swim laps for the fundraiser on Friday, 12/12, and we will have holiday gifts to distribute as well. Athletes will be asked to raise at least $20 to help offset costs of our annual team banquet in March/April. All athletes are invited to the banquet (even half season swimmers). We have different levels of prizes that kids can achieve during their fundraising efforts including a raffle for 50% off a future swim team season!
The welcome packet includes a letter explaining the event and different ways that swimmers can collect donations from family, friends, and local businesses. The folder includes donation letters for businesses, fundraising sheets to track your child’s donations, and receipts for people that want to use as a tax-deductible donation. Please take the time to read over the information and reach out to parent board members if you have any questions. The funds go directly to our parent board account that has assisted with large equipment purchases, swim experiences, and team events. Thanksgiving Break: Monday, 11/24 & Tuesday, 11/25 - Normal Practice Times | Wednesday, 11/26 through Friday, 11/28 - NO PRACTICE
December Practice Changes: Wednesday, 12/3 - TIME CHANGE DUE TO HS SWIM MEETS | Blue 6:45-7:30 PM (First 15 minutes will be dryland), Silver 7:15-8:30 PM (First 15 minutes will be dryland), Gold/Red 7:30-9:00 PM
Winter Break: Monday, 12/22 through Friday, 1/2 - NO PRACTICE
