Board and Committee Positions
Executive Board
President - Amy Hamiel
Maintains contact with Coach to reach common goals, Creates Monthly agenda for BOD meets Serves as a liaison between the Board of Directors, Coaches, D200, and other teams. Keeps up to date with regulations of USA and ISI Swimming
Vice President - Mearl Kise
The Vice President is the primary consultant and provides assistance to the President in all team matters. He/she will perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President to serve. The Vice President and the President should work closely together, dividing the oversight of team objectives and responsibilities. Duties may include oversight and management of Committee Chairs or shared responsibilities with another director position.
Secretary-
Jessica Buchholz
The Secretary records and maintains BOD meeting minutes. The secretary assists in all communication including but not limited to team emails, social media, contact with D200, and contact with local papers (for promotion or submission of swimmer results)
The Secretary maintains records of BOD members, and Committee Chairs- updating changes when needed.
The secretary can assist with the team website and team calendar (working with the coach, committee chairs, and other BOD members) to ensure clear communication of information regarding our team.
Treasurer - Kayleen Ivers
The Treasurer position is primarily responsible for the accurate management of finances and maintenance of financial records for the team. You are responsible for charging member accounts, paying team bills, paying/managing payroll, submitting financial information to our accountants for tax purposes, and assisting with budgeting.
You will have the team’s banking information, checkbook, a team computer, and access to Quickbooks for record keeping.
Meet Director -
OPEN
The Meet Director is in charge of running smooth meets. This requires coordination between the coaches, officials, awards, hospitality, and possibly concessions.
Team Operations Director - Sarah Lesniak
The Team Operations & Fundraising Director is responsible for ensuring swimmers are registered at the correct level and billed accurately, while maintaining USA Swimming registration records. They handle emails from prospective families, providing necessary information or directing them to the appropriate board member or coach. The Director also works with families facing special payment issues, setting up payment plans with board approval when needed. Additionally, they provide information on the scholarship program for swimmers in need and process team resignations, managing credits and refunds.
In the fundraising role, the Director promotes the Team Try-Its in April and August by distributing information to local school districts, community boards, and newspapers (as applicable). They secure and maintain sponsorships, including t-shirt sponsors and sponsorship packages for local businesses and team members, and submit sponsor logos to the apparel chairperson for placement on team t-shirts. The Director organizes a fundraiser each season, such as the Annual Firecracker Fundraiser for Long Course and a Short Course fundraiser (ideas include cash raffles, scratch-off books, etc.). They also seek additional fundraising opportunities, like Scrip Gift Cards, Savers Fundraising, and work closely with the Social Committee.

Maintains team records to ensure our team is in good standing within USA Swimming

Apparel -
Orders team and championship t-shirts for each season. Coordinates spirit wear orders
Equipment Manager -
Maintains all team equipment at WNHS and WWW. Informs the Board if equipment needs repair or replacement.
Parent Educator/ Mentoring-
Creates monthly newsletter. Organizes informational speakers for parents. Heads up a mentoring program to help new families assimilate onto the team.
Social Activities -
Plan and organize social events. Oversees Adopt a Highway.
Social Media/ Communications -
Keeps up our social media sites, such as Facebook (both the public and private pages) Twitter, and Instagram
Meet Committees:
Awards -
Orders organizes and inventories awards for all home meets, Labels and distributes awards from home meets, ● Sorts and Distributes Awards from Away meets, Is Responsible for Awards (Certificates and Plaques) for end of Season Banquets and Heat Winners
Volunteer Coordinator-
Recruits and organizes volunteers during meets.
Hospitality -
Sets up and takes care of coaches and official hospitality area during meets. Assists in determining hospitality needs for future meets.
Concessions -
Runs and organizes food sales during swim meets. Determines needs during meet days. Handles cash box for the concession area.
