The practice attendance goal is given as a guideline.
The more practices an athlete can make the closer that athlete will get to his/her potential. At the same time ELK’s staff is primarily made up of teachers and we realize that the athletes who make up our program are first and foremost students. We understand that there are times where the attendance goal cannot be met. Communication with the athlete’s group coach, when these problems arise, can help us as we set goals for the athlete and continue to meet our team goal to build character, leadership, and discipline into the athletes in our program.
Parameters:
This is a guideline that ELK will use to group swimmers. Sometimes there must be exceptions. These will be under the coaching staff’s discretion. All exceptions will be made in an effort to do what is best for the athlete.
