Club Profile
The Big 4 Swim Club originally started as the Lebanon Swim Club which was founded in 1969 to promote summer recreational activities and fitness for youth, ages 6 to 18. In 2001, the club began the transition to a year round club and in 2002 joined USA Swimming. It is a competitive swim club with a focus on programming that builds community through physical activity and social interaction. In 2022 we transitioned to the Big 4 Swim club in an effort to promote the opportunity for children within Boone County to join our club regardless of school affiliation.
The club has a partnership with the Lebanon Community School Corporation and swims at the Lebanon High School pool. Built in 1973, it is a 25 yard 6 lane pool. During the summer of 2005, there was a $250,000 renovation of the Natatorium that has made the pool an even more exciting place to swim.
The club has expanded its goals to include establishing a comprehensive competitive swimming program for our community. A Learn-to-Swim program for novice swimmers was established in October and by August 2006, the Lebanon Swim Club will be self-sufficient in meeting aquatic safety programming needs for the club, schools, and community.
When a young person becomes a member of the Lebanon Swim Club they learn the values of sportsmanship and team work. Swimming, through the Lebanon Swim Club, provides physical, emotional and intellectual skills that will last a lifetime.
The Big 4 Swim Club is a 501(c)(3) organization.
