OHSC prides ourselves on carefully considering all aspects of swimming regarding the competitive development of our athletes.  Our team culture has an enormous impact on our swimmers' success.  The aim of the policies outlined below is to define that culture in order to (1) improve our unity as a team and (2) ensure that our attire at meets and practice is consistent with our philosophy.  Please read all aspects of the team attire information below and direct any questions to the OHSC Board.

Practice Suits - Female swimmers must wear one piece suit of choice for practice that does not interfere with the swimmer's ablity to use proper technique.  Male swimmers should wear swim shorts or "jammers" of swimmer's choice as long as suit does not interfere with swimmer's ability to use proper technique.

Competition Suits -  A competition suit is not required, but is encouraged to promote team unity.  A selection of team apparel can be purchased at our Team Store through Elsmore Swim Shop.   

Swim Caps - Swim caps are optional for swimmers with hair shorter than shoulder length.  For hygienic reasons relating to the facility, all swimers with shoulder lenth and longer hair are required to wear caps at practice.  Most girls and many boys with short hair wear caps in order to protect and contain their hair so that they may use proper techniquie.  OHSC caps will be available for purchase in the swim office during practices.  OHSC caps are encouraged for wear at swim meets to promote team unity.

Gold Training Group - Swimmers who are training with the Gold Group are required to purchase and bring to practice a mesh bag, front snorkel, hand paddles, and fins.    

Team Shirts - Each season OHSC provides swimmers with a team shirt with the team logo and that season's mantra or focus.  

Gear and Other Attire - Other team attire such as goggles, bungee straps, tech suits, pull bouys, etc. can be purchased through Elsmore Swim Shop/Oak Hill Team Store.  Please click on the link at the top of the page to explore further.  Also, as an added fundraiser for our club, we will be getting 5% back on purchases made through our team link.
