Indiana Swimming

The Tri County Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Tri County Swim Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Dolphin Group

This is our entry level group. An athlete needs to be able to swim 25 yards without stopping. Swimmers in this group work on the basic strength and  stroke development and are exposed to the basics of competitive swimming.
 Dolphin Group Coach: Amy Hollinden Stacy Marion
Workout Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday 8-8:45 am.  Friday 9-10am
 

Sharks Group

From the Dolphin group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique.  Swimmers in this group need to be able to swim all 4 strokes 50 yards without stopping and they must know how to turn with each stroke.

Workout Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:45-10, Friday 9-10
 

Sting Ray Group

From the Shark group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group are usually at least 10 years old and have completed the Shark Group. This group is exposed to training for the first time while trying to prepare for the 200 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley races. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged at a rate of about once per month.
 Sting Ray Group Coach: Tony Miller, Stacy Marion
Workout Days/Times: M-F 8-10 am, attendance at at least 3 practices is required and 4 is recommended.
 

Pre Senior Group

Minimum age for entry into this group is 11 years old. Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is required in this group. Training takes precedence over technique work for the first time in the athlete's development. Athletes in this group train for the 400 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyles.

Workout Days/Times: Monday- Friday 8-10 am, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5-6:30 pm attendance at at least 4 practices is required and 5 is recommended.?
