DCST Swims past the Rays and Bluefins On October 31, DCST went to 3 – 0 on the season with victories over the visiting Rock River (Rockford) Stingrays (RAYS) and the Freeport Bluefins (BLFN) YMCAs. DCST Dunk the Dolphins On October 17, DCST began its 2015 – 2016 winter season with a win over the visiting Illinois Valley (Peru, IL) Dolphins by a score of 520 - 232. DCST Places 4th at Fox Valley Meet The Kishwaukee YMCA / DeKalb County Swim Team (DCST) finished 4th at the Fox Valley Meet on October 9 - 11. The finish was not too bad considering the team only entered swimmers in 20 of the 102 events offered. DCST only sent our Bull Dog and National swimmers to this meet, while some of the other teams had a full complement of swimmers. Once a DCST swimmer achieves a national qualifying time, they are challenged to try to achieve National All-American status. After they have achieved this status, the coaching staff challenges them to see how far up DCST’s All-Time National All-American list they can climb. Hein and Ye Earn Their 4th Individual All-American Honors on Day 5 of the YMCA National Championships On Day 5 of the YMCA Long Course National Championships, Daniel Hein and Athena Ye completed their perfect week by earning National All-American status in all four of their individual events.
