Peoria Area Water Wizards Swimm Lessons Instructors
We are seeking qualified swim instructors to join our staff. Swim instructors will teach private and group swim lessons to students, ranging in age from 3 to adult, according to the SwimAmerica program. This position will require working weekends and possibly weeknights (possible in 2025). We will work around school, sports and activity schedules. Applicants typically submit their availability in advance and are scheduled accordingly. Applicants can be 14 years old with a work permit. We will train you on the SwimAmerica program.
Qualifications/Expectations
- Swimming experience, preferably current member of a swim team. Swim instructor or coaching experience a plus but not necessary
- Positive role model
- Works well with children
- Available weekends (lessons are typically 1-4:30pm) and weeknights (possible in 2025)
- Communicate with supervisors and paww staff about work availability in a timely manner
- Come to work on days scheduled
- At least 14 years of age (with a work permit if under 16)
Responsibilities
- Teach group or private one on one swim lessons according to SwimAmerica training program.
Compensation
Swim Instructors are hourly positions at $14/hour with extra paid hourly to those teaching private lessons.
