PAWW offers training at the Pekin High School swimming pool. 

This awesome facility features 8 swimming lanes and offers some of the fastest swimming in Central Illinois.

PCHS Pillar Entrance

Directions from Court St.:

  • Turn north onto Stadium Dr.
  • Follow Stadium Dr. to the horseshoe drive and “pillar doors entrance”. (refer to photo)

The doors will be open 15 minutes before practice starts. Please be patient with the timing of the doors, this is a new process, and we will need to work out the timing. The high school will not permit us to keep the doors unlocked for the duration of practices.  PAWW will enter and exit only from these doors, unless the high school is hosting a varsity football game, then we will use the back entrance (see below).

Parents are not permitted on deck or in the locker rooms; however, they may sit in the natatorium. Directions may be given once inside the building.

Once inside the pillar doors entrance, the pool is to the left. All PAWW swimmers whose practice starts at 5:30p must wait before practice in the hallway until a PAWW coach gives permission for PAWW swimmers to enter the pool deck.

Please come dressed for practice. PAWW swimmers may not be in the locker rooms while PCHS swimmers are in the locker rooms. (this is a USA Swimming and PCHS rule)

 

    

 

PCHS Back Entrance

 

We will be using the back entrance of Pekin High School to enter and exit practices when the high school is hosting varsity football games.

Driveway to the entrance is located across the street from Taco Bell on Court St (marked with purple x).

Follow the driveway into the parking lot (marked in purple) and then use door #20 to enter the building (marked with a blue X).

Please be patient if the door in not unlocked, someone is coming with the key.

Once you enter the door, go down the hallway (marked with a purple line), then go down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, turn left, and the pool is down the hallway.
