Pickup, Dropoff, and Parking At MTM Facility

With the ongoing projects at the Water Company, we will need to adjust our normal drop off / pick up and parking procedures. The parking lot will have dramatically reduced capacity during this project.

Parents and Athletes are asked to park on Reservoir Ave. The parking lot will be for used MTM staff and non-swim team patrons. 

Parking Lot – The plan the MTM staff had set-up was obviously not in play last night and of course there were complaints of people blocking cars in the lot as they picked up swimmers.  Supposedly today they will paint some lines on the parking lot and use that as one way in, pull around drop off swimmers at the front door and move on – in hopes not to block cars in.   Pick-up will be at the corner/side next to the playground using the turnaround if needed to get in the correct direction.  This will cause congestion so please do not block others, block the roads or driveway.  The plan is to save or block off several roadside spaces next to the playground and have that as pick-up.   We all realize this will take time and is new to us all, please be patient and try to help find the best possible option for getting in and out.

MTM – Their primary issue is blocking people in the lot, so please try to avoid pulling in anywhere that may block others.  They also prefer Lakeside not to use the parking lot and leave it for the lap swim/facility user.  Believe this is more so in the early mornings, the kids that drive and leave their car there for a few hours, please park on the road if possible – older kids are already doing this.

Lakeside – Our primary concern is safety!  We don’t want kids running across the street, especially once it’s dark out and need everyone to be aware as they pick-up and drop off.  I also would appreciate it if we could make it work and not have the MTM staff complain to me each day and cause me to send more emails.

Also, a reminder that sometime in the coming months (likely October) Reservoir Ave at Frankfort Ave will be closed. When this happens access to Reservoir Ave and MTM will be only through Brownsboro Rd.
