Level 1: Explorers

Ages: 18 months – 4 years
Class Examples: Early Explorers, Tiny Tumble, Creative Movement

Overview:
Our Explorers level is designed for our tiniest dancers to begin their journey into the world of dance and movement. Through imaginative play, music, and age-appropriate activities, dancers will explore the basics of movement, rhythm, and musicality in a joyful and nurturing environment.

Focus Areas:

  • Introduction to movement and body awareness

  • Developing rhythm and musical response

  • Exploring imagination through creative play

  • Building social-emotional skills in a group setting

  • Learning how to follow directions and classroom structure

Goal:
To build confidence, coordination, and a love for music and movement while creating a positive foundation for future dance learning.

 

Level 2: Expansive 

Ages: 5 – 9
Class Examples: Expansive Movement

Overview:
Expansive Learners is designed for young beginner dancers who are ready to explore the fundamentals of dance in a structured, supportive, and fun environment. Dancers in this level begin formal training in core styles like ballet and jazz, learning foundational positions, vocabulary, and technique.

Focus Areas:

  • Introduction to ballet and jazz basics

  • Understanding posture, alignment, and control

  • Developing coordination, flexibility, and balance

  • Learning to follow choreography and musical counts

  • Building classroom confidence, creativity, and focus

Goal:
To introduce the art of dance to young minds and bodies, develop a strong technical foundation, and nurture a love for movement, discipline, and self-expression.

 

Level 3: Evolve

Recommended Experience: 1–2 years of prior dance training
Class Examples: All classes beginning with "Evolve"

Overview:
The Evolve level is designed for beginner–intermediate dancers who have a foundation in dance and are ready to expand beyond the basics. In this level, dancers continue to build strength, control, and confidence while refining core technique and being introduced to more complex movements, transitions, and variations.

Focus Areas:

  • Strengthening and perfecting foundational skills

  • Expanding movement vocabulary and versatility

  • Learning more detailed choreography and transitions

  • Introducing flexibility, strength, and alignment training

  • Gaining confidence in performance and musicality

Goal:
To solidify foundational technique while beginning to challenge dancers with more complex combinations and expressive movement, setting the stage for higher-level training.

 

Level 4: Elevate

Recommended Experience: 2+ years of dance training
Class Examples: All classes beginning with "Elevate" 

Overview:
Elevate is designed for intermediate–advanced dancers who are ready to push beyond foundational technique and prepare for elite-level training. Dancers in this level are introduced to the fundamentals of advanced movement, including more complex choreography, strength-building, and performance dynamics.

Focus Areas:

  • Refining intermediate technique across multiple styles

  • Building the foundation for advanced skills (multiple pirouettes, advanced leaps & tricks)

  • Improving stamina, precision, and body control

  • Developing deeper artistry and emotional connection to music

  • Preparing for higher-level performance opportunities

Goal:
To strengthen intermediate dancers while bridging the gap to advanced training, allowing dancers to grow into strong, versatile, and expressive performers ready for elite-level work.

 

Level 5: Elite

Recommended Experience: 3+ years of consistent, multi-style training
Class Examples: All classes beginning with "Elite"

Overview:
The Elite level is our highest tier of training at EDE, designed for advanced and pre-professional dancers committed to excellence, artistry, and growth. Dancers at this level consistently train across multiple styles, demonstrate leadership, and take on performance and choreography challenges with confidence and discipline.

Focus Areas:

  • Mastering advanced technique and control

  • Expanding versatility across multiple genres

  • Developing performance quality, expression, and storytelling

  • Mentorship and leadership opportunities within the studio

  • Preparing for auditions, competitions, and future dance careers

Goal:
To empower dancers to perform at their highest potential — both technically and artistically — while embracing the values of commitment, community, and passion that define Elite Dance Experience.
