Early Explorers Program (18m - 4 y/o)
Warm Up & Movement Exploration
We begin each class with a fun and engaging warm up that gets little bodies moving! Children explore different ways to move- jumping, spinning, tiptoeing, crawling- building coordination, balance, and spatial awareness through imaginative movement.
Intro To Dance Basics
Dancers will learn beginner steps and positions from ballet, jazz and creative movement. These foundational skills help develop rhythm, posture, and body control in a playful, age-appropriate way.
Music & Rhythm Games
We use clapping, instruments & sing-alongs to introduce musicality and tempo. Children explore sounds, patterns, and rhythms while learning to follow cues and stay in sync with others.
Creative Expression & Imagination
This part of class encourages storytelling through dance! Whether pretending to be animals, superheroes or pirates, students use their bodies to express ideas, emotions, and characters - sparking creativity and confidence.
Partner & Group Activities
Social development is key at this age! Children participate in group dances and partner games that encourage teamwork, cooperation and taking turns - all while building friendships and having fun!
Prop Play & Sensory Movement
We incorporate props like scarves, ribbons, and beanbags to make movement more exciting and tactile. This boosts fine and gross motor skills and keeps little ones engaged and curious.
Story Time & Craft
Each class ends with a calming story and a simple, themed craft related to what we learned that day. This allows for reflection, creativity, and fine motor development, and gives kids something special to take home.
