Good morning Five Star swimmers and families! Wishing you all a happy and healthy week ahead. Please note the modified practice times for Thursday this week due to a high school swim meet at the Rec.
Updates from Coach Steve
Congratulations to everyone who swam in the Arena Cup Meet this weekend at F & M. Our swimmers came to compete! We had numerous best times and swimmers making finals every night. We had swimmers qualify for the following meets this weekend: 10 and under champs, Junior Champs, Senior Champs, Zones, Sectionals, and Futures! Amazing accomplishments by all!
A few reminders:
1. Please check your swimmers' events for John Apple and IMX Meets. Email me ASAP with any changes.
2. Consistency at practice (attendance and effort) pays off at the meets. It also helps build team culture.
3. Please have swimmers at practice 10 minutes before the start of practice.
4. Label all swim items
5. Swimmers need to clean their water bottles. (STILL DIRTY)
6. Start to look ahead at the championship meets. Some have been updated with
entry files and information.
7. Thursday - Modified practice schedule due to H.S. Meet
John Apple- Meet Volunteers Needed!
We are still in need of many volunteers for the John Apple Meet on January 10-11th. Please sign up for an open position via the Team Unify site. Sign-ups are located under the “Jobs Sign-up” Tab.
Reminder that we require all families volunteer for at least one shift. If you are new to the team, we will help train you that day so please don't hesitate to sign up - this is an all hands on deck (literally!) event.
The following volunteer positions are still open:
- Admissions Table (1 Spot)
- Timers (2 Spots)
- Head Timer (also known as the Backup Timer) (2 spots)
- Meet Tear-down (4 spots)
- Runner (1 spot)
- Safety Monitor (3 spots)

Holiday breakfast December 27 after practice. Please see the event details on the website and remember to register your swimmer if they are attending so we have an accurate count for food.

- December 27th - WHOLE TEAM 8:00-10:30 Team Relays and Breakfast.
- December 29th - Senior Team and 4 Star 10:00-11:30. Evening - Normal Practices
- December 30th - Normal practice times
- December 31st - Senior Team and 4 Star 8:00-11:00 - No evening Practices
