Good morning Five Star swimmers and families! Please note the modified practice schedule for this week and next included below. Wishing you all a very happy and healthy holiday season. We are so grateful that you are part of our Five Star family! Lots of exciting things on the horizon for 2026!
Updates from Coach Steve
- If you missed the LAC IMX Meet sign up, please email me ASAP and I'll see if I can get you in.
- Consistency at practice (attendance and effort) pays off at the meets and helps build team culture.
- Please have swimmers at practice 10 minutes before the start of practice.
- Label all swim items
- Swimmers need to clean their water bottles
- Missing something? Stop by the bench at the end of the pool today or tomorrow to collect your lost items.
- Start to look ahead at the championship meets. Some have been updated with entry files and information.
John Apple- Meet Volunteers Needed!
We are still in need of many volunteers for the John Apple Meet on January 10-11th. Please sign up for an open position via the Team Unify site. Sign-ups are located under the “Jobs Sign-up” Tab.
Reminder that we require all families volunteer for at least one shift. If you are new to the team, we will help train you that day so please don't hesitate to sign up - this is an all hands on deck (literally!) event.
The following volunteer positions are still open:
- Admissions Table (Sunday)
- Back U- Timer (Sunday)
- Timer (Sunday)
- Safety Monitor (Saturday)

FIP Merchandise
Clothing orders from FIP have arrived. They can be picked up during practice.
A few items are on backorder, but are expected to arrive soon. If you order is impacted, there will be a note included in your order with your receipt. We will provide updates once we have a confirmed arrival date for the backordered items.
Save the date!
Holiday breakfast December 27 after practice. Please see the event details on the website and remember to register your swimmer if they are attending so we have an accurate count for food.
Caps
- Five Star Caps for sale! The caps include our new logo. $15/cap.
- If you ordered a personalized cap from T&T Swimming, the order should be arriving soon. We will send an email when they are ready for pick up.

- December 24th Senior Team and 4 Star 8:00-10:00 am No Evening Practices
- December 25th - No Practices - Merry Christmas
- December 26th - Senior Team and 4 Star 10-11:30 and 4:30-6:00 Normal practice 1-3*
- December 27th - WHOLE TEAM 8:00-10:30 Team Relays and Breakfast.
- December 29th - Senior Team and 4 Star 10:00-11:30. Evening - Normal Practices
- December 30th - Normal practice times
- December 31st - Senior Team and 4 Star 8:00-11:00 - No evening Practices
- January 1st - No Practice - Happy New Year!
- January 2nd - Senior Team and 4 Star 10:00-11:30 and 4:30-6:00. Normal practice 1-3*
