EMILY CARAS SNYDER SCHOLARSHIP Emily Caras Snyder passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2020 at the age of 33. The Caras family, along with Maine Swimming, would like to honor Emily's memory with a scholarship in her name. The award will be given to an MESI senior swimmer who is “dedicated to the sport, and whose approach to swimming is characterized by hard work, humility, and a positive attitude". The Coach Representative shall serve as a liaison between the coaches who are members of Maine Swimming and the Board of Directors and House of Delegates. Swimming for George Washington University at A-10 Champs, Olivia Tighe (UN) broke her own Open 200 free record with a time of 1:47.99. Olivia's old record was 1:48.49 that she swam once in 2020 and again in 2022. Congratulations to Olivia who is now officially a "swammer"!
