FOR THE 2023-2024 SEASON, TOPS WILL COMPETE ONLY IN USA MEETS HOSTED BY MIDDLE ATLANTIC TEAMS.

WHY ONLY USA? Answer....CONTROLLABLES.

COST

1) To be considerate of our families and the current economic climate, TOPS fees remain unchanged for the season (can be paid over six payments). There will NOT be a separate fee for USA (one fee).

2) TOPS has chosen USA meets for the season respective of cost, distance, and meet offering. Our swimmers/families will have control over what meets and events they will attend.  (As with invitationals, there is a cost per event.)

CONVENIENCE

3) Some of our swimmers and families participate in multiple activities/sports.  The USA meet offerings will enable our swimmers/families to identify what works for their schedule. Some meets are over multiple days.  Swimmers can choose to swim all days of the meet or as few as one day.  Each day (session) is no longer than a regular dual meet (a USA meet session cannot be longer than 4 hours).

4) Once the swimmers have completed their events for the day (session), they are welcome to leave We will not have the requirement to stay for the whole session as we had for the dual meets.

5) Volunteer hours will greatly be reduced and not as demanding as a dual meet season.

COMPETITION

8) We have expanded our USA meet offerings.  For our 8/Under swimmers, there are eight mini meets over the course of the season.  For our 9 and older swimmers, we have chosen eleven meets over the course of the season.  *TOPS has chosen two USA meets per month (October - March).

9) Swimmers will get to choose varied events beyond the usual dual meet offerings (including HS). USA meets offer the swimmers a large variety of events (sprint to distance) which are not available in dual meets.

10) All USA meets are ready for entry.  Swimmers and families can look at their calendars and plan accordingly.

11) High School swimmers...There are many dual meets during the HS swim season.  Our USA meet schedule will allow our HS swimmers to control their race schedule and yardage AND will not require participation in league dual meets as was the case in year's past. TOPS training will support (not compromise), our swimmer's respective HS training.  Between TOPS and HS, the swimmers will be training 5-6 days per week.

** All that we are offering is out of consideration for our swimmers and their families (time and cost). We look forward to helping our swimmers achieve their level of personal excellence. **
