Cam joined the Manitoba Marlins as Assistant Head Coach on September 1, 2024, and took over as Head Coach officially in June 2025. He will be responsible for coaching the National Group (NAT) and supporting club-wide swimming success, among other tasks.
Cam brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team. He joins us from the Manta Swim Club, where he served as a Development Coach for the past seven years. Not only has Cam been an integral part of Manta's success, but he also swam competitively for Manta and the University of Manitoba for 12 years.
Cam is an NCCP 301-trained coach who is committed to creating a productive learning environment for athletes Cam was selected as the Manitoba Junior Team Coach in 2021, and to be part of the 2025 Canada Games coaching staff. In addition to coaching, Cam has been the Team Manager for two major games: the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games and the 2022 Canada Summer Games. This experience and his commitment to swimming excellence make him a valuable addition to our team.
As we look towards this upcoming swim season, Cam is confident in his staff and swimmers alike to continue to push us towards being a nationally recognized club, at the top of our province for years to come!
Luc MacNeil
Head Age Group Coach
Luc has an exceptional eye for technical development and a very strong understanding of the flow of our sport. We are extremely excited to welcome him into our program to help support our swimmers' goals and continue to push the club forward!
Bret Luke
Assistant Head Coach
Bret has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counselling from Duquesne University. While in her graduate program, she remained involved with the Duquesne University swimming program as a graduate assistant on the coaching staff.
Currently she is an active member of the Manitoba Marlins Masters team, and is looking forward to being a part of the Manitoba Marlins coaching staff and helping young swimmers reach their full potential in the pool!
Mackenzie Alexiuk

Mackenzie Alexiuk has been with the Manitoba Marlins since 2004, when she joined the club as a Mini Marlin. She swam competitively until 2013 when she shifted her role from swimmer to coach. Since then, she has coached for the minis program and Age Group Development for four years each. Now in her 11th year of coaching, Mackenzie is excited to support the Mini Marlins program and inspire the next generation of swimmers to grow as athletes and people through learning in the pool. Mackenzie spends her time away from the pool pursuing the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of Manitoba.
Mackenzie returns to our staff for this season with a new role, she will be working directly with Cam, Luc, and our Mini coaches on program delivery. She will be around to answer any questions around skills and teaching that our coaches may have, and assist them in delivering our practices in an effective and fun manner!

Olivia Gies

Since 2010 the Manitoba Marlins swim club has been part of her life; she started swimming in Minis, moved through the competitive program, and eventually stopped in 2019 while in MSG. In the fall of the same year, she started coaching the Minis and continued for 3 years. In 2022, she got the opportunity to coach Multisport. This season will be her 4th year coaching in competitive, and 1st with AGD.
Outside of the pool, Olivia am a full-time student at the University of Manitoba. Currently, she is working through my undergrad in Environmental Studies with a focus in Wildlife Management, and a minor in Biology.
Edward Molloy
Edward (Eddie) began swimming with the Marlins at the age of seven, where he instantly fell in love with the water. Eddie spent his full junior competitive career with the Marlins and was given the privilege of swimming at the Varsity level with the University of Alberta. After 3 years with their program, he decided to pursue coaching with the Marlins and pass his knowledge of the sport onto a new generation of swimmers. Eddie aims to foster a love and respect for the sport by upholding a safe and comfortable environment for the swimmers!
Emma Hansen

Currently, she is working full-time as a CCA and breeding bugs in her spare time. Emma is always excited to give back and is forever grateful for the opportunities that swimming and the Marlins have given her!
Anthony Iliouchetchev
Anthony, a Civil Engineer by trade, is rejoining the Marlins after departing for other opportunities at the age of 14. Anthony is one of the fastest male swimmers out of Manitoba in the last decade, holding numerous provincial records and top 5 times all-time in Butterfly, Backstroke, and Freestyle events. Anthony brings an added layer of high-performance analysis, stroke understanding, and mental preparation that will greatly benefit our swimmers at the top end of the club.
