Why does the team need fundraising?
The Maine Gator Booster Club raises money to help pay for pool rental fees, lifeguards, meet equipment, social events, awards and scholarships. Through fundraising, our club is able to keep member dues as low as possible for families and provide financial assistance to those in need. This requires us to ask all our parents and swimmers to participate in our fundraising efforts. Your help and support is vital to the team.

What types of fundraising does Maine Gator Booster Club do?
Our main fundraiser of the year is our annual Swim-A-Thon in October. For our raffles, we receive generous donations from families and local businesses. We also raise money throughout the year via Fundraiser Nights at Portland area restaurants, like Flatbread and Chipotle.

How can I help?
We can all appreciate that everyone has multiple demands on their time. Swimming is a time commitment not only for our swimmers, but for their parents too. Our club relies on our wonderful group of volunteers for so many things. However, fundraising is one way in which parents and swimmers can come together and help keep the club operating smoothly. In order to reach our fundraising goals we need the participation of EVERY parent and swimmer on the team. You can help by actively participating in our fundraising events and encouraging others to help too. It's a great way to interact with other swimmers and parents, and support the team.

We encourage you to reach out to the Booster Club to share fundraising ideas or to join our board or a committee. As they say, many hands make light work. 

Do you have corporate sponsors?
We are always looking for local businesses to provide free food for our social and fundraising events, and gift cards and prizes for our raffles. In turn, we promote them on our website homepage, social media (Facebook and Instagram), and Reiche and Riverton Community Centers.

Our current corporate sponsors include Arena, Consigli Construction, Dick's Sporting Goods and Keller Williams.
