MEET UPDATE

YMCA 8 & Under State Championships - February 15, 2025 - Waterford Kettering High School

YMCA 9  & OVER STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - February 22-23, 2025 - Saginaw Valley State University 

• Registration closes on February 14, 2025

• This is a time standard meet open to all swimmers who have met the 3-YMCA meet requirement and who have achieved a YMCA State Cut: YMCA Time Standards

• We have reserved a block of hotel rooms nearby, please see the Hotel Information tab on our website, or click on the link below. 

YMCA ZONE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET  - Friday-Sunday, March 14-16 – Bowling Green State University, Ohio

• This is a time standard meet open to all swimmers who have met the 3-YMCA meet requirement and who have achieved a YMCA Zones Cut: YMCA Time Standards

• EVERYONE who has a YMCA Zones cut MUST attend this meet. This is our Championship Meet that we focus on for the entire season for those swimmers who have cuts.

• We recommend reserving a room in our hotel block. The block expires February 14, 2025.

• This is a spirit event for all 8 & Unders swimming at the YMCA 8 & Under State Championships at Waterford!

*On Wednesday,  2/12 the 8 & Under State Team will practice from 6:00-7:00 P.M., regardless of which practice group they are in.  The Fire & Ice party will immediately follow the 6:00-7:00 practice.

END of SEASON and MARCH CLINICS

The last day of regular practice for all groups is February 28th.  Zone Team and National Team swimmers will continue until their respective meets, according to a slightly altered schedule that will be communicated soon.

But, guess what? Swim does not really end!  

MARCH CLINICS will be offered: 

Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings at the YMCA - March 3-28 (no clinic on 3/17)

10 & under - 6:00-6:45pm (cost $115)

11 & older - 6:45-8pm (cost $135)

March clinics are a great time to invite friends and neighbors to check out the team!  We practice by age groups, so new friends can be together.

ZONE TEAM and NATIONAL TEAM

There will be an additional $100 charge for Y Zone Team and an additional $100 charge for Y National Team. This pays for the pool rental and coaching fees for the month of March.  If you know that your swimmer will be attending Zones or Nationals, ou can click on the links below to pay the additional cost(s).  Please note, this is a YMCA charge, NOT an FFYS Boosters charge.
