FALL/WINTER SHORT COURSE 2025-2026 OPEN EVALUATIONS!

When: Wednesday, September 3, Thursday, September 4, any time between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. or Friday, September 5 any time between 6:00 and 7:30 P.M.

What to Bring: A bathing suit, goggles, a swim cap if you have one, and a towel. 

Duration: Evaluations take about 15-20 minutes.  

Evaluation Results: A coach will meet with you, or your swimmer, immediately following evaluations to inform you of your swimmer's practice group immediately following the evaluation.  

Location: Farmington Hills YMCA at 12 Mile and Farmington Road

Requirements: Participating swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters front and back crawl without assistance.

BAND APP

 

Practice times and locations sometimes change due to weather or pool availability. Please check your email daily before heading to practice. You can also download the FREE Band app and join our Stingray group: Band App.  Turning on the alerts in Band can help you be aware of practice changes.  When you join, PLEASE join with your first and last names.  This helps us keep this Our Band App closed, private and consisting of current parents, swimmers and coaches.  All “first name only” members will be deleted.

YMCA OFFICIALS TRAINING

 

YMCA Level I and II official classes are being offered on September 27 and September 28 at the Farmington YMCA. These classes are FREE for FFYS parents!  All parents are welcome!  If you are a Level I official and want to become a Level II official, you must have a meet record showing that you have officiated at least 8 sessions in the last three years. If you are a Level II official seeking to recertify as a Level II, then you must have a meet record showing that you have officiated at least 12 sessions in the last three years. If there is enough interest, an AO class will be offered as well.
