Dear Stingray Parents and Swimmers,

You have probably already figured out that you will get many, many updates to keep you connected with all the great things happening with our team. Please read these communications thoroughly.  Otherwise it is possible that you or your swimmer might miss out on something important!    

Who are these emails coming from?  They are coming from the FFYS Booster Board. The FFYS Booster Board is made up of parents who understand competitive swim and enjoy sharing their experiences with new swim parents. The FFYS Boosters, of which all Stingray parents are a part, is a non-profit organization that helps run some of the day-to-day operations of the team. We run the website, communicate information, plan and run our swim meets, facilitate swim meet entries, plan and run social events, and coordinate spirit wear and team uniforms. We are the "behind the scenes" power that supports our coaches and our swimmers.   We are all volunteers, not employees of the YMCA, but if you have questions about YMCA related things, we are happy to help you get in touch with the right people. If you're interested in getting involved, we would be thrilled to have you join us! There is always more work to be done! 

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

The Boosters are seeking some volunteers for a few critical positions. If you are interested in any of these positions, please reply to this email.  

1. Social Chair - Works with board members to coordinate social events throughout the season.

2. Sponsorship Coordinator - We are looking for someone to shadow Teresa Chisholm this year, as her son is a senior, and it is her last year as our sponsorship chair.  Teresa will teach you everything that she knows this year, so you are prepared to be the chair next year.

STINGRAY MERCHANDISE UPDATE

YMCA OFFICIALS TRAINING

LAST CALL: Do you like free food?  Do you like a front row seat to the action at our YMCA meets?  Do you have a little bit of competitive swim knowledge or even perhaps some personal experience?  If so, YMCA Level I and II official classes are being offered on September 27 and September 28 at the Farmington YMCA. These classes are FREE for FFYS parents!  All parents are welcome!
