  • Before Alyssa began coaching she was an active ice captain in PHFSC for roughly 8 years, then began mentoring to become a Junior Coach. She was hired as a Junior Coach for 2 years before being hired as a Coach at PHFSC in 2013. 
  • Regional Competitor 2008-2016; Final Rounds 2014; Third Place 2015
  • Edith Scheonrock Award Recipient 2014
  • Michael Kettlewell Spirit Award Recipient 2011
  • Alyssa loves to choreograph artistic and light entertainment programs.

Sandy Magneson

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Michigan State University

Scott Magneson
Coach
  • Scott, met his wife, Sandy (see above), when he began skating as a teenager
  • He progressed very fast and passed 5 Gold tests – Gold Dances in both USA and Canada, Gold Freestyle, Gold Figure, and Gold Free Dance
  • Also passed 4 International Dances
  • Over 42 years teaching with PHFSC which includes the honor of coaching every current PHFSC coach
  • Over 70 Gold tests passed from students with students’ medals earned in Figure, Dance, Freestyle and Pairs at the Midwestern Sectional Competition and at Nationals and Canadians
  • Also taught at Plymouth FSC, Fraser FSC, Sarnia FSC and Pointe Edward FSC
  • Retired Art Teacher from PHASD (25 years of teaching) holding a Masters plus 30, a Specialist Degree in Graphic Design and Painting
  • Along with Sandy, has produced over 25 Ice Fantasies for the club, as well as cover designs for that many ice shows too
  • Designed the PHFSC’s logo and the high school team’s logo
  • 40 year alumni from the University of Michigan
  • Scott and Sandy have been married for 41 years, have two sons, and twin granddaughters who skate with the club​​​


Linda Murray

  • Past Basic Skills director and Club Manager with PHFSC
  • Along with Kim Kirkendall; Linda began the Synchronicity Synchronized Skating team and coached the teams with Kim for several years
  • 37 years coaching experience
  • She has produced gold tests in Dance,  Moves-in-the-field and free style
  • Linda has coached in several clubs:  Fraser FSC [Fraser, MI], Forest FSC [Forest, ONT], Sarnia FSC [Sarnia, Ontario], Port Huron FSC and various off- season clubs
  • She has been a director for several ice shows in Canada [10] and in Port Huron [13]
  • Linda is active as an adult skater. She still enjoys going to adult dance events as an ice dancer.
  • Skated with Holiday On Ice after she graduated from high school

  • Tracy has been a regional competitor and medaled many times.  Tracy was awarded first place in the Tri-States Senior Test Track Series.  She has also been awarded the Edith Scheonrock award through the PHFSC as well as received a gold letter achievement through USFSA
