Red Team swimmers are encouraged but not required to compete in swim meets.

White Team: Focuses on proper stroke technique along with starts and turns. Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards of the following: freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and 25 yards of butterfly with good form.  Flip turns are desirable.  Must be able to perform a standing dive from the edge of the pool.  Required to compete in in-house Marlins Meets and a minimum of 3 USA Swimming sanctioned swim meets.

Blue Team: Focuses on more stroke, start and turn technique and developing the endurance needed to succeed in competitive swimming.  Swimmers must be able to:  Swim 50-100 yards of all 4 of the competitive strokes with proper form.  Must know all racing turns and starts.  Required to compete in a minimum of 4 USA Swimming sanctioned meets per session excluding in-house Marlins Meets and championship swim meets.

Silver Team: For advanced swimmers age 13 or older. Focus for this group is on technique and training to meet the demands of competitive swimming.  These swimmers are expected to be leaders to the rest of the team, display good sportsmanship, dedication and responsibility in and out of the water.  Encouraged to compete in USA Swimming sanctioned meets, in-house Marlins Meets and championship meets.

Swimmers at all levels should compete in swim meets. This is the best way to apply skills acquired during swim practices.
