**Please be aware that Sartell HS is 1 hour and 45 minutes from the Southdale YMCA!! Warm ups will start early 8a-8:15am** Just want you to be aware of the distance at that we are starting early!!**
Swimmers must have swum a minimum of 3 YMCA qualifying meets to be eligible to swim in our Section Meet. They can swim more meets, but need at least 3.
You will be committing your swimmer and choosing 2-3 events they are REQUESTING to swim. Coaches will be making the final decisions on what your swimmer will be swimming at this meet. Your swimmer will be placed in events THEIR COACH feels they will do their best in and hopefully move onto the State Meet. The goal here is to get as many swimmers to advance to the State meet as possible. Remember not everyone can swim the 50 free!!
Swimmers are expected to accept the events they have been given and swim their very best at that event. Coaches WILL have discussions with all swimmers that will be competing in Sections during practices in the week or two leading up to this meet.
If you sign up and do not have the qualifying 3 meets, you will be notified by Katie and removed from the meet.

REGIONAL INFORMATION -
A list of the 2026 Regional times have been uploaded to the documents tab on our website.
The Regional Meet is a time based meet. You must reach a set time to qualify for this meet. The Bonus times for this meet have not changed from last year and have also been uploaded to our website. Bonus times are only available to swimmers who have at least 1 Regional time.
REGIONAL MEET HOTEL -
The Embassy is where some of our families will be staying for the Regional weekend. Here is there information -

Embassy suites look to be the best deal averaging out about $140 a night which includes breakfast and a happy hour. It is not connected to the skyway, but it’s about a five minute drive to downtown. This would allow our team to get together in the common area.
The quote that was received is about $140 king bed, $151 double bed. Parking is $10 a day. They need a credit card on file to book it. Otherwise it was closer to $170 a room unless you are a Hilton honors member.

I have handed out the REGIONAL caps to the swimmers that I have found. If I owe you a regional qualifier cap, please let me know when you will be at practice next.

RIBBONS -
Ribbon folders need to be emptied out. All ribbons from meets prior to this weekend have been placed in your swimmers file. PLEASE stop by and pick them up!!
Ribbons from the TC Invite will come in the nest week or two. There will be ribbons for Sections and State. Please clean our your folder before we add these ribbons in.
