Ready for the stage, but not quite ready to audition for a GCPA Youth Theatre Company production? This is the class for you! In this year-long class, students will put together a full-length musical. They will learn how to audition, be cast in the show, learn choreography, music, and blocking, and perform their work in the spring with costumes, sound, set, props, and lights! This class is perfect for the beginning performer that's ready to experience a musical in a stress-free, competition-free environment!

This year we are excited to produce 101 Dalmations KIDS! Based on the classic Disney story, this adorable show is full of character and heart and of course - puppies!

This is a two-semester program (fall & spring) and enrollment is required for both semesters. No conflicts allowed May 20th - 26th, 2024. Additional rehearsals may be TBD spring 2024. There is an additional production fee of $110 above the regular class fee that will be charged after you finalize your first payment.

Reheardals: Mondays 7pm - 8pm AND Thursdays 5pm - 6pm

What is the cost?
This class falls under our monthly payment plan which is $113 a month for 2 hours of class.
There are 9 total payments: Upon registration, October 1st, November 1st, December 1st, January 1st, February 1st, March 1st, April 1st, May 1st.

What fees are associated?
There is a one-time production fee of $110 that will cover additional production costs. This will be automatically run after you register for the class.

Any other costs?
Tickets will be available for $12 per person.
Performers may be required to provide basic items such as jazz shoes, tights, skin-colored leos, or potentially basic items from your closet such as jeans.
Performers receive a free t-shirt, but additional shirts will be available for purchase for $25,
We may offer tribute and business ads for the program. This would be optional and range from $15 - $100, depending on your size preference.

Does my student have to audition to be in the production?
Every student who registers will be cast in the production. Students will learn about auditions and go through an audition process to assign roles, but every student will be cast. Of course, there are some roles that have more lines and solos than others, but every actor will be heavily utilized.

Will my student be called every week?
Yes! This is a classroom setting and all students will be called for every rehearsal. Reasonable conflicts are accepted prior to May 13th.

What additional rehearsals can I expect?
As we get closer to the performance, we may need additional rehearsals on the weekends or the week leading up to the performance. Those details will be communicated in advance.
