AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING
Aquaracers Swim Club ("MR-AQRC) promote water safety in our community with the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (LGT) Program as an ARC official training provider ("LTP"). Our Lifeguard Training Program includes the curriculum taught by certified Lifeguard Traininng Instructors® (LGTI™). The Lifeguarding course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.
Taking a Lifeguarding Class
At Aquaracers Swim Club, the American Red Cross courses are available year round – from trained professionals who can help you gain the skills and confidence necessary for providing care and instruction when it's needed most. By offering a wide range of courses throughout the year, you can become certified, or earn your recertification when it suits you best.
Lifeguard Preparation
American Red Cross lifeguarding students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class, and pass a pre-course swimming skills test prior to taking our courses. Once students are enrolled, they'll receive the latest science-based training from experienced instructors, and develop skills they'll use for a lifetime. Courses are available in person. In addition to full courses, abbreviated recertification courses are also available for those who hold current lifeguarding certifications.
What to Expect from Lifeguarding Training
At Aquaracers Swim Club, our American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses are designed and taught by industry-leading professionals who can help you not only help others stay safe in, on, and around the water, but can help you learn the latest safety and rescue techniques, and deliver critical care, like CPR, first aid, and AED administration, when it's needed most. And although every class varies, each will cover a variety of important skills that can not only help you stay safe and help others enjoy the water safely, but can help you begin, or advance, your career
