Group Lesson 

Our Swim Club has developed a new, effective, and systematic program designed to enhance everyday swimming skills. We promote water safety in our community with the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim (LTS) Program as an ARC official training provider. At Aquaracers Swim Club, we offer our "Group Lesson" Program year-round at three indoor pool locations: Bergen Community College (BCC) in Paramus, NJ, Ramapo College (RCNJ) in Mahwah, NJ, and Merriott Hotel (Glenpointe) in Teaneck, NJ. Additionally, during the summer season, we run our Summer Program at outdoor pool at Demarest Swim Club (DSC) in Demarest, NJ.

Our group lesson program features sessions typically lasting 10 to 12 weeks, where swimmers are grouped into levels 1 through 6. Each level is designed with specific goals, and our dedicated instructors work closely with students to master the skills required for each level.

Classes maintain a low instructor-to-student ratio, with a maximum of six students per instructor, ensuring personalized attention for every swimmer. Each one-hour class offers individualized lessons akin to private instruction, focusing on the unique needs of each student.

Tracking Progress and Evaluations

To track progress, evaluations are conducted on the 9th and/or 10th week of the program, allowing parents a 2 to 3-week window to register their child for the next level. Following evaluations, parents have the opportunity to meet with the head coach or instructor to discuss areas for improvement and address any concerns.

Transition to Competitive Swimming

Upon successful completion of level 6, students have the option to transition to our club's competitive team. With guidance from parents, students can arrange a tryout with the head coach to join the competitive ranks. Transitioning to club swimming requires proficiency in the four competitive strokes and endurance training gained from our Swim Lesson program.
