This week the contract groups will practice at normal times on Monday and Tuesday evenings. We will have a swim available Tuesday morning from 5:45-7am. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday we will have swims available from 7-9:30. These practices are especially important for anyone planning to swim at the pro-am as we want to have work in now to taper from in December. I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving week!!

The 2014 JCKW Swim-A-Thon is just around the corner.  A Swim-A-Thon is a USA Swimming sponsored fundraising event that is designed for swimmers of all ages from Prep to Contract groups.  This year swimmers will earn a credit for 20% of their donations at The Starting Block.  This is a great opportunity to raise money for the team and earn credits for the swimmer to obtain needed gear such as fins, goggles, suits, caps, bags, or whatever they need to be successful in the pool.  A link to the Swim-A-Thon...

In order to run our meets we need more JCKW parents certified to be officials.  At our October meet, we were short on officials.  Attendance at a Stroke & Turn clinic is the first of three required steps toward becoming a certified official and you must serve hours in an on-deck apprenticeship at meets.  Arkansas Swimming is holding a Stroke and Turn Officials Clinic at the RAC Winter Invitational meet on January 7th at 7:30 am.  For more information please read the information in the link below and if you...

It has been brought to my attention that some people thought we were practicing today...  and now we figured out why:  when Coach K recently synced his phone app with the team website it re-sent an email from all the way back in October!  We cannot offer a practice today because Coach K has to hit the road for the diving session of the HS conference championship in Springfield!  Please do not drop your children off in the pool parking lot!
