Membership

• All swimmers must be Mexico Area Family YMCA members to participate on the fall/winter swim team.
• Season: Swim Team runs Tuesday September 3^rd through the month of March.
• New members to the team must “Tryout” with the Coach before registering for the team. To tryout, register at the Y’s front desk, or online through our app or at https://ops1.operations.daxko.com/programs/redirector.aspx?cid=2050&pid=87254&sid=3023895  You will then be contacted to set up a time to tryout.
• Returning team members may register at the team website: https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/mvmymmm/page/team-registration
• Swim Team Levels: (A swimmers level is determined by the Coach.) Bronze – Stroke Development, Silver – Intermediate, Gold – Advanced

Fees

• The following fees are to be paid at the Mexico Area Family YMCA Front Desk after registration is completed on Team Unify. The Swim Team first month fee must be paid and the swimmer must be a Mexico YMCA member before the participant is allowed to begin practice:
• Swim Team Season Fees (September -  March) – Gold/Silver levels $385.00, Bronze level $315
• Payment options: One-time $350.00 for Gold/Silver, $290 for Bronze or 7 monthly $55.00 G/S or $45.00 B payments, due the first day of each month, September through March.
• Winter Swim participants are required to be members of the Mexico Area Family YMCA, if they are not already active members they must become members; this requires a one-time join fee and monthly membership dues. See the front desk for membership information.
• Heartland Conference dues – TBA (between $5 and $10)
• USA/Missouri Valley Swimming Membership – Full or Flex (for swimmers 12 year of age or younger) membership is available. You will be given a link to go to in order to register for USA Swimming and you will pay directly to USA Swimming, the Y will not collect payment for USA Swimming membership dues.

Available Discounts:

• Scholarships – The Mexico YMCA does have scholarships available for swimmers for families in need that will cover part of the program fees. Talk with Membership Director Janice McIntosh for information on how to apply.
• Sibling discount - $35.00 off one-time payment or $5.00 off monthly payment, for second and subsequent siblings.
• Swim Official/Stroke Judge discount - $70.00 off one-time or $10.00 off monthly payment for swimmers with at least one parent who is a Certified through USA Swim or YMCA Swim.
• Families qualifying for both discounts can use the Swim Official discount for one child and the Sibling Discount for the remaining children.

Other required expenses include:

• Team Swimsuit for swim meets
• Team Swim Cap for swim meets
• Entry fees and transportation for home and away meets.
• Additional equipment as required for practice, such as goggles, flippers, snorkels, etc.

Practice Schedule:

September through November – Gold and Silver Monday through Thursday 3:30 to 5:00 PM

                                                    Bronze Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 to 5:00 PM.

December through March – Gold and Silver Monday through Friday 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM

                                             Bronze remains the same.
