***SWIM-A-THON UPDATES***

Good afternoon team,

 

Below are some updates on the swim-a-thon this Saturday!

 

SCHEDULE

  • Kraken, Leviathan, and Siren swimmers will be from 1-2 PM
  • Hydra, Triton, and Poseidon swimmers will be from 2-4 PM
  • Hydra, Triton, and Poseidon swimmers are welcome to come help with the younger swimmers from 1-2 PM if they like.

 

FOR PARENTS AND OBSERVERS

  • We are partnering with the YMCA for this event to drum up interest in the sport and get some support for the aquatics department. 
  • Please see THIS FLYER that was distributed around the YMCA.
  • If you are a parent of an ATLA swimmer, an extra donation to the YMCA is OPTIONAL!
  • If you have anyone else who would be interested in this event that does not have a swimmer on the program, we would ask that they make ANY small donation to the Y to be able to come watch.

 

DONATIONS​

  • Participation in the fundraising part of the swim-a-thon is required even if you cannot make the event. 
  • Here are some easy ways to go about donations:
    • Let friends/family know a one-time, set dollar amount is the best ($1, $5, $20, etc)
    • Let friends/family know that funds from this event are going towards end of season events, new equipment, and restock of team goodies (stickers, key chains, duckies, etc).
  • Donations can either be made to:
    • @Rhi-Jeffrey venmo (last 4 of phone are 9823)
    • Cash/check. Made out to Atlantis Aquatics or Poulin Swim & Fitness
  • Fundraising requirement is $250 per family (unless I have sent you an email with a new total after parent jobs).
  • Any funds shy of the $250 requirement will be added to your swimmers TeamUnify account at the end of January.​
  • Donations will be accepted until January 31st with winners annouced February 1st.

PRIZES

  • Prizes will be a team fleece blanket for the most raised in each training group (Kraken, Leviathan, etc).
  • In the event of a tie, the prize will go to the swimmer with the higher number of donors. 
  • The grand prize for the highest amount donated will be a custom team parka!
  • Prizes for the most distance swum will be a custom ATLA water bottle! If you won this last year we will set you up with another Yeti item of similar value. ;)
