After a number of team records were set at Regionals, the swimmers who attended 12 and Under Championships decided to set a few of their own. In total, 32 new Individual Records and 11 new Relay Records were set up in Vermont. Congratulations to all new Phoenix Swimming Record Holders!! The current Phoenix Swimming Short Course Records are now posted. Congratulations to all current record holders in our inaugural season and good luck to our 12 and Under and 13-19 Championship participants in their attempts to set new records and set the bar that much higher as we finish up our first season.

Congratulations to all PHX swimmers as they recently finished 10th overall at the Bowdoin Open. While still a small team compared to the clubs that finished ahead of us, the team still battled and was pound for pound the fastest team at the meet. Also, a special job well done to the PHX girls who finished a remarkable 5th overall!! Good job everyone!

Phoenix Swimmers Joe Turk, Adi Arifovic, Michael Walsh, and Conor Moran broke records at last weekends Bowdoin Open Invitational. Joe Turk broke Boys 11-12 100 Fly 102.24 Boys 11-12 100 Back 101.11 Boys 11-12 200 IM 224.62 Joe Turk, Michael Walsh, Adi Arifovic, and Conor Moran also broke the Boys 12 and Under 200 Freestyle Relays with a 151.78! Congratulations Boys!!

Congratulations to Phoenix Swimmers Brian Poon and Michael Walsh who achieved top 10 USA Swimming times for the 2010 season. Brian Poon placed 8th in the country for 12 year old boys in the 1000 yard Freestyle and 9th in the 1650 yard Freestyle. Michael Walsh placed 9th in the country for 11 year old boys in the 800 meter freestyle. Congrats guys!

Because the bubble doesn't go up for a few more weeks practices will initially be outside! (no worries the pool is heated) We will be handing out the schedule changes at the parents meeting this week and also will probably send an email out through the E-Group as well.
