Meet Wrap Up: ORO November Specialty Meet

50 swimmers from the Lightning, Thunder, Age Group  and HSP squads traveled to UNH on November 16th for the ORO Specialty Meet.  Parents from the lightning squad coordinated snacks for all of the kids and a team area for parents, making this event extra special for all STORM participants!  For many swimmers, this was their first ever away meet - which brought plenty of excitement!  

Storm Achieved 65  lifetime personal best times on Sunday!   In addition, many swimmers competed in new events achieving championship cut times along the way! It was a great meet!

Congratulations go out to the following swimmers - achieving 3 lifetime bests in the meet this weekend!  Swimmers were limited to 3 races at this meet - so all of the swimmers listed below also achieved 100% personal best swims!  This meet’s Triple Best Winners  (and 100% best times) are:

A special goes out to Logan S.  our BIGGEST LOSER, , from the Lightning 1 Squad!!  

 Logan had the largest percentage of time drops this weekend, averaging 14.91% improvement per swim!  Well done, Logan! 

New Barrier Breakers:

Barrier Breakers are recognized when a swimmer goes under a certain time for a race for the first time.  SCY Barrier breakers include breaking under :30 in a 50, under 1:00 in a 100, under 2:00 in a 200, under 6:00 in a 500 free, under 5:00 in a 500 free, under 5:00 in a 400 IM, under 10:00 and 11:00 in the 1000 and under 17:30 and under 18:00 in the 1650.  Let’s congratulate the following Barrier Breaker Swims!
