Storm Swimming is proud to be affiliated with both USA and

YMCA Swimming on a local and national level. 

USA Swimming- This is the national governing body for the sport of competitive swimming and the most competitive level of swimming offered in the United States. All swimmers on Storm NEED to be registered with USA Swimming to be a member of the team. USA Swimming is broken down into Local Swimming Committtees (LSCs) and Storm is a member of the New England Swimming LSC. Competition levels can range from novice to national and features both a short course yard (25 yard pools) and long course meter (50 meter pools) competition season. YMCA Swimming- YMCA Swimming offers competitions that are sanctioned under United States Swimming but are specifically centered around the YMCA's core values. As is USA Swimming, YMCA Swimming is broken into regions (Storm is a part of New England YMCA Swimming) and further broken down into divisions and swim leagues. Storm has competed as part of the Eastern Mass YMCA Swim League. Competitions are offered for swimmers ranging from novice to national level (the top meet being YMCA National Championships).
