GSCY Families Participate in GSCY Park Clean Up Days

GSCY Storm Connect

As part of its commitment to the community, GSCY swimmers and families recently participated in GSCY Park Clean Up Days.  On October 2nd and October 9th, volunteers went to Mountain Park, Harry Dunham Park, and War Memorial Park in Basking Ridge - ready to do their part in keeping our parks clean and beautiful!  Swimmers and families covered a lot of ground, picking up bottle caps, plastic bottles, used masks, snack bags and other trash.

“I want to thank all of our volunteers and organizers for working hard for our community,” said Lou Petto, GSCY Head Coach.  “At our core, we build not only strong athletes but also responsible citizens who look after each other and our environment.  This is only one example of the good work that we will continue to do in our communities.”

GSCY would like extend a special thank you to all our volunteers:

  • Jorell and James Aclao
  • Charlotte and Patricia Brandt
  • Vansh, Aarush and Anand Dalal
  • Tyler and Angela Fu
  • Molly and James Hunziker
  • Auroni and Supriya Sen
  • Olga, Raul and Cinara Sommerhalder
  • Alice Su and Liping Wei

We also want to thank our Community Service Committee members Liz Mannino, Maggie Gould and Gina Capizzi for their efforts in organizing these events!
