Jack Alexy Joins the USA Swimming National Junior Team

USA Swimming has announced its 2021 National Junior Team Roster, and Jack Alexy has been selected to join the team!  Jack qualified in the 100 Free, posting the fastest qualifying time of 48.69 (from the 2020 Olympic Wave II Trials), and in the 50 Free, with the second fastest qualifying time of 22.47 (also from the 2020 Olympic Wave II Trials). 

There were a total of 72 pool swimmers and 7 open water swimmers on the roster, coming from 26 states and 61 clubs.  To be selected to the National Junior team, athletes must meet the following criteria:

  • Priority 1: The top 2 athletes in each individual Olympic event.
  • Priority 2: The third and fourth ranked swimmer in the 100- and 200-meter long course meters freestyle.
  • Priority 3: Additional female athletes who have a World Ranking within, and including, the top 75 in an individual Olympic event and additional male athletes who have a World Ranking within, and including, the top 100 in an individual Olympic event that have ALSO achieved a time faster or equal to established USA Swimming time standards.
