GSCY Storm Wins 2023 YMCA National Championship
GSCY Storm showcased amazing swims throughout the 2023 YMCA Nationals, which was held from April 2nd to April 7th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC. With a total of 657 combined points, and out of 184 total teams across the country, GSCY Storm won 1st place in the overall Combined Team category, improving upon its second place finish last year. With a total score of 362 points, the GSCY Storm women also dominated the field, bringing home the national title for the Women's category. The GSCY Storm men also had an impressive performance, ranking second in the Men's category with 295 points.
"We could not have asked for better performances from our athletes and our team as a whole. I am so proud of the way we showed not only grit and determination but also true support for each other," says Mary Korey, Head Coach and Director of Competitive Aquatics. "We prepared as a team, competed as a team, and walked away champions as a team. We share this recognition with our parents, coaches, and staff for making this possible."

- Women 800 FR Relay - Colleen Bull, Anna Moesch, Erica Maltsev, Emily Thompson (7:20.42)
- Men 400 FR Relay - Garrett Gould, Rob Alexy, Riqui Iturbe Cosano, Kenneth Barnicle (new meet record of 2:59.07)
