GSCY Storm Wins 2023 YMCA Long Course National Championship, Marks Back-to-Back LC Championship Wins and First Ever Back-to-Back SC and LC Championship Wins for any NJ YMCA Team In History
GSCY Storm showcased amazing swims throughout the 2023 YMCA Long Course Nationals, which was held from July 25th to July 29th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC. With a total of 920.5 combined points, and out of 190+ teams across the country, GSCY Storm won 1st place in the overall Combined Team category for the second year in a row! With a total score of 578 points, the GSCY Storm women took the national title for the Women's category for the second year in a row. The GSCY Storm men also had an impressive performance, ranking 4th in the Men's category and jumping 4 spots from last year, with a total score of 342.5 points.
With its first place finish, GSCY Storm becomes the first NJ YMCA team in history to win back-to-back Short Course and Long Course National titles in the same year. Congratulations GSCY Storm!

I am so proud of how our athletes really showed up by competing fiercely in the pool and supporting each other out of the pool," said Mary Korey, Head Coach and Director of Competitive Aquatics. "What our athletes and our team have been able to achieve at both Short Course and Long Course Nationals this year is just incredible. - Women 400 Free Relay - Colleen Bull, Erica Maltsev, Anna Moesch, Emily Thompson (new meet record of 3:49.12)
- Women 800 Free Relay - Colleen Bull, Anna Moesch, Erica Maltsev, Emily Thompson (8:28.37)
