Please read and follow the simple steps below to get started:
1. You may utilize our quiz OR complete an in-person evaluation to place your child in the best coaching group.
To place your swimmer with an in-person evaluation: These happen every Friday 4:30-5:00pm. If you would like to request an evaluation outside of those hours, please e-mail us.
To place your swimmer using the quiz: Click on this LINK and answer all the questions. This will give us an idea of your swimmers ability to get them in the best coaching group. If you’re unsure of an answer, please make your best guess. Keep note of your swimmers group code (Little Leviathans, Developmental, Green, Yellow, Blue, or Adult)

2. Once you’ve determined your swimmers group, click on TEAM REGISTRATION and complete the sign up process.
3. A credit card is required to complete the registration. Your credit card information will be kept on file and billed automatically on the 1st of each month.
(*Please fill out our withdrawal form to cancel or suspend your membership. This is easily found on our website.)
4. Email a copy of your swimmers birth certificate to [email protected]
5. Download the SPORTSYOU app and join the main LMA group along with your swimmers practice group (developmental, green, etc.). This is our primary source of urgent communication for practice changes, reminders, etc. The codes will be shown on the last page of your successful registration.

Financial and Other Commitments
The attention given by our coaches creates an excellent atmosphere for the development of young swimmers. Commitment to quality does not come without cost. Retaining the availability of a pool and qualified coaching requires year-round leases and high fixed costs. These issues create a constant monthly expense and are just two of the numerous expenses incurred on an ongoing basis. In order to maintain a quality swim team, expenses are partially funded through monthly dues and swim meets. Additionally, the team undertakes certain fundraising activities. Without the additional funds generated by the swim meets and other fundraising activities, membership dues would be significantly higher. A well-run swim meet or any other fundraising effort requires a large number of volunteers, we ask that you remain open to volunteering so we can run a successful operation.
Dues:
LONGVIEW METRO AQUATICS depends upon prompt payment to meet the club's financial obligations for the coaches’ salary, pool rental, taxes, and travel. Dues are to be paid monthly. Dues and other fees are NOT prorated.
MONTHLY RATES: Effective September 1, 2021
Little Leviathans (2 day class) - $80
Developmental Group - $90
Green Group - $100
Yellow Group - $115
Blue Group - $130
Adult Group - $60 (returning soon!)
Family Maximum - The maximum monthly tuition for a family is $275. All members must be from the same immediate family and have board approval.
Multi-Swimmer Discount - After the highest paid full-priced membership there is a $10 discount per additional swimmer per family until the family maximum is met (excludes Little Leviathans/Swim Lessons).
Financial Obligations:
1. A credit card must be kept on file for automatic monthly payments. Dues will be charged on the 1st of each month.
2. In the event your card fails, payments must be received by the 10th of each month or a $15 late fee will be assessed.
3. After the 15th of that month, the swimmer(s) will not be allowed to participate in practice until all dues and fees are paid.
4. New members must pay an annual USA Swimming Registration fee, unless you are transferring from another USA Swimming team and have a current registration number. A 2025 USA Swimming Membership is $105.
5. When participating in a meet, your card on file will be charged for all fees in advance of that meet. An invoice will be sent detailing those fees.
6. There is a $200 per family fundraising fee per year. If you join after June, that amount will be $100. We will provide opportunities to raise this money. However, any remaining balance will be charged to your card on file December 1st or a prorated amount of $20 per month when membership termination notice is received.
7. Meet Fees - Meet fees are the responsibility of each family entering the meet. The total entry fees and coach’s fees will be charged to your card on file. No refunds will be issued for missing the meet as the team will have to pay that fee regardless of the reason.
8. Reinstatement Fee - Any break in monthly dues whether approved or not will incur a $40 reinstatement fee. The fee and any outstanding fees must be remitted before swimming can resume.
9. Quitting the Team - Swimmers wishing to leave or suspend membership must fill out our withdrawal form by the 15th of the month. This form is easily found on our website. Member families are reminded that LONGVIEW METRO AQUATICS incurs pool and coaching expenses for hours these resources are utilized, not based on the number of active swimmers. Consequently, the loss of dues over an extended period creates severe financial hardship for LONGVIEW METRO AQUATICS.

Practices
Certain coaches are at the pool for the different practices. LMA always tries to be flexible and exceptions may be possible. Please check the schedules tab above for the current practice schedule. Upon registration, be sure you are on the SPORTSYOU app for up-to-date information.
Equipment Needed
Beginner swimmers will need competitive swimsuits (1 piece for girls), goggles, fins and a water bottle.
Pull buoys and kickboards are provided.
METRO is sponsored by TYR. Therefore, when attending a METRO meet, all competition swimsuits, shirts, outerwear and gear bags MUST be purchased through the METRO Team shop.
Blue group swimmers will need to purchase a FINIS tempo trainer, drag socks and kickboards. Those can be found on amazon or swimoutlet.com.
