DR Invite Meet Recap
Seahawk Families,
Over the weekend 59 Seahawks traveled up to Dayton to compete in the 2025 Dayton Raiders Gunnar Listerman Invitational. Thank you to all of our parents for making the trip to allow your swimmer to compete, and especially our timers and officials who stepped up to make sure the meet ran smoothly.
Overall the coaches were happy to see 20 NTs destroyed, 48 season bests, 198 first swims of the season, and 589 seconds dropped over our 285 swims. It is amazing to see so many swimmers at, around, or under their best times this early in the season, we still have plenty of time to refine, and train before February.
Swimmers of the meet
Hailey Wise: Hailey showed just how well she has been listening and asking questions at practice this weekend with some massive time improvements. She is also an infectiously positive presence on deck before and after her swims.
Danny Beyerbach: Danny has been working hard in practices. Over the summer he spent time on his weaknesses and has continued that into this season. This weekend he saw a huge improvement in his 200 breaststroke race plan. He had amazing pull outs, low turns, better head position, and overall swam the race very well. Danny continues to be a supportive & encouraging teammate. Amazing job this weekend, Danny.
