Distance Challenge Recap

Matt Williams

I hope everyone is having a great Holiday season so far!

Over the weekend 27 Seahawks attended the Ohio virtual distance challenge we hosted at Cincinnati Country Day Highschool. Over the course of Saturday we dropped around 204 seconds, even though out of our 27 swims 19 of them were first times. So our 8 Seahawks who had times dropped an average of 25 and a half seconds! Big shoutout to all of our competitors for either trying something new, or crushing their best times!

Thank you to all of our parents who timed, officiated, counted, and everything else that went into making Saturday a great day.

Swimmers of the Meet

Kai’a Fallis - She did a fantastic job on her first ever 500, and finished incredibly strong! She did a great job staying positive before and after her race, and cheering for her teammates whenever she got the chance.

Aj Ridgway - He did a great job pacing his first mile, and staying really long with his arms even as he got exhausted. It was awesome to see his technique hold together for so long so young.
