Head Coach: Stephanie Hundt

Stephanie started swimming at age six and swam for the Washington Township Sharks for 10 years. She graduated from Centerville High School with 4 varsity letters, a state championship in 2004 and was also All- State in the 500 free. She went to Wright State on a swimming scholarship for the 500, 1000 and 1650 free as well as the 400 IM and 200 fly. At Wright State she received the Raider Award for three consecutive years. She has been coaching for WAVE for the past 12 years and is the Head Coach.

Head Age Group Coach: Emma King

Emma started summer swimming at age six and swam for the Washington Township Sharks for 10 years. She graduated from Centerville High School with 4 varsity letters, and was also All-State in the 200 and 500 free. She went to the University of Akron on a swimming scholarship for distance free as well as the 400 IM. While at University of Akron, she won 4 conference team titles. Emma is currently a Preschool Intervention Specialist in the Centerville City Schools. She had been an assistant coach since Summer 2020.
 

Assistant Coach: Patrick Mikal

Patrick started swimming at age 14 for the Beavercreek YMCA Dolphins before coming over to Kettering City Swim Team his senior year of high school in 2014. He graduated from Carroll High School with 3 varsity letters and won Most Improved Swim his senior year. He went to Ashland University and swam distance freestyle and was named GLIAC All-Academic Team from 2015-2018. At Ashland, he received the Most Improved Swimmer during his senior year in 2018. During his time at Ashland, he was also in charge of the university’s Rec Center Learn-to-Swim program his junior and senior year. He has been an assistant coach at Kettering City Swim Team since 2019.

Assistant Coach: Zach Merz

Zach started summer swimming at age 3 and swam for Kettering City Swim Team for 8 seasons. He graduated from Carroll High School with several varsity letters including: cross country, track and swimming. He is a third year Mechanical Material Engineering student at the University of Dayton. Zach is currently involved in UD’s club swim team, along with shooting sports photography for Flyer News on campus. He has been an assistant coach since July 2020.
