GCST HOLIDAY CHEER INVITATIONAL (12/12/25)
The Penguins competed at Columbus Academy on Friday night in two or three of the open events offered! Results were not broken down by age group on Friday night.
Alivia Buschur had a 3 PB Sweep in the 200 Free, 200 IM and 50 Free, and Anderson Adams, Brady Brayer, Jack Terry and Timmy Wolfrum had a 2 PB Sweep.
Meet Highlights:
- Anderson Adams broke 30 seconds in the 50 Free for the first time.
- Jack Terry was the Penguin’s top finisher in his events. He broke 27 in the 50 Free and finished first in a time of 26.81 and finished second in the 200 Free.
- Carly Brenton was the fastest 7 year old in the 50 Free (finishing 74th ouf of 105 swimmers ages 6 to 14) and she also swam the 200 Free for the first time and the only 7 year old in the race.
- Penguins Kate Gilmore and Alivia Buschur tied for 7th in the 50 Free in a time of 29.34.
- Several Penguins won hot heats!

ELF CLASSIC (12/7/25)
On Sunday, a small group of our 10 & Under swimmers had a fun-filled and outstanding meet at the Elf Classic at the Hilltop YMCA. The swimmers swam away with 12 PBs and quite a few candy canes (heat winners)! Both Penguin boys, Sully Fantauzzo and Kotaro Nakanishi were fueled by UNO and had a PB Sweep on the day!
Our eight (8) enthusiastic Penguin girls finished in 5th Place in the Girls Team Standings and the team finished in 6th Place.

The Penguins were swimming fast on Saturday and finished with 130 PBs! Falon Cramer and Sai Gujjala were the PB leaders with a 4 PB Sweep! Anish Agarwal, Scarlett Bolitho, Caellum Francis, Evni Don Gajanayakege, Callie Gilmore, Kate Gilmore, Gabby Hendricks, Berekyah Kavuna, Arush Reddy Madireddy, Elliot Nist, Harper Quinn, Sophia Schieber, Lily Turner and Elise Wolf had a 3 PB Sweep!
Zone times were swum by Sophie Hoffsis in the 11-12 Girls 200 Free and Alivia Buschur in the 11-12 Girls 100 IM.

GATOR-THON PENTATHLON (11/22/25)
The Penguins swam 63 PBs at the Gahanna YMCA on Saturday. Ben Pierson was the PB leader with a 5 PB Sweep! Sammi Buschur and Nate Fields swam 4 PBs in the meet. Divya Howell, Priya Howell and Abigail Road had a 3 PB Sweep. Sophia Schieber, Jake Lickfelt and Callie Gilmore also swam 3 PBs.
Brady Brayer and Toby Naylor were the team’s First Place finishers in the 9-10 Boys 50 Breast and 9-10 100 IM respectively.

SENIOR FALL INVITATIONAL (11/21-11/23/25)
Eight high school Penguin swimmers competed at Bowling Green State University and swam 29 PBs. Chloe Welsh was the PB leader over the weekend with 10 PBs. Chloe qualified and competed in Finals in five (5) of her individual events and swam Zone qualifying times in the 50, 100, 200 Free and 50 and 100 Fly.
Four swimmers had a PB Sweep in the meet: Rachel Weglaz (6), Noah Buschur (5), Jackson Brown (3) and Morgan Brown (3).

24 Penguin swimmers competed in the Bobcat Swim Club’s Safe Sport Pentathlon at Ohio University and swam 57 PBs!
Earning a 5 PB Sweep was Sophie Hoffsis, Toby Naylor and Timmy Wolfrum. Noah Buschur had a 4 PB Sweep and Aiden Zhang had a 3 PB Sweep.

Chloe Welsh was the 15-18 Girls High Point Winner.

CAC PENTATHLON MEET RESULTS (10/6/25)
In the first USA meet of the season at the Cincinnati Country Day School, the Penguin swimmers swam 26 PBs. Yuri Aung and Vida Markward had a PB Sweep in all five of their Pentathlon events.
Other highlights:
- Falon Cramer finished First in the 9-10 Girls 100 IM.
- Alivia Bushur took Second in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast.
- Lillian Wilker swam 4 PBs.
- Adele and Greta Vasys legally swam all five Pentathlon events and many were first time swims.
